Separate a profile from a full review.
A source-based profile describes a book using identified publisher or author material, its contents, and any excerpts examined. It can help establish subject matter and likely reader fit. It does not establish how well every chapter teaches its subject or whether an approach delivers results.
A full review requires reading the identified edition and documenting the assessment. It must name the reviewer, explain the basis for judgments, and distinguish observations from opinions. We do not invent reading experiences, testing results, or scores.
Make the sources visible.
Book coverage should identify the edition or publication information checked, the date of that check, and the material available to us. We link to sources for substantive factual claims and explain material discrepancies rather than silently choosing the most convenient listing.
A publisher’s description establishes what a book promises. A table of contents establishes its listed scope. An excerpt reveals only the portion available. Author claims, testimonials, and sales-page results do not become independently verified facts because we repeat them.
Choose relevance over a score.
We consider the reader’s experience, the task they want to accomplish, and the book’s verified scope. A technical reference and an introductory guide can serve different readers well. Publication date alone does not prove quality, and a newer edition does not make an older work worthless.
Rankings require documented assessments and an explained basis for the order. Listings, reading paths, and source-based comparisons must not imply that a final ranking or complete review has taken place.
Be clear about ownership.

A ranked assessment of Nathan’s books requires a separate reviewer and disclosure of that reviewer’s relationship to the publication. Until that assessment exists, coverage remains a clearly labeled profile or preview. A separate reviewer does not remove the site’s ownership interest.
Use AI with verification.
AI tools assist research, organization, and drafting. Their suggestions are leads to check against sources. They do not establish that a book exists, that a claim is accurate, or that anyone has read the full text. Editorial responsibility stays with the publication.
Keep room for corrections.
